Here they are. Every single fatality in the Mortal Kombat series. Witness seven minutes of unrelenting mutilation, torture and death. Stop thinking about it as a video game. Start imagining it as one of the many levels of Dante’s Hell. Marvel as the protagonists’ agonized screams eventually take on a plaintive, desperate quality, as though they were asking, “Why? For the love of God why must I die again?!”
Watch, rapt, as by the end of this visionary film the existential angst seems to drive some of the fighters insane when, perhaps desperate for release, they begin taking their own lives to avoid the spiritual humiliation of being murdered yet again.

I had to watch these without sound, but that was still entirely enjoyable.
The series of suicides at the end were pretty excellent. I’m a big fan of tearing off one’s own head, and of the daggers-in-your-own-eyes.
