They rise…

we fall.

LI-41 is going for it.

I suppose it was only a matter of time, wasn’t it? I’m not sure I would shelve the SWORDS project so completely for what might very well be a stand alone technical fault; the battlefield benefits are pretty obvious. It’s been less than a year since it began, after all, and it seems to have had only limited exposure.

Conclusion: this is better than the meat sword, but not as good as liquid swords, sword poetry, or Heavenly Sword:

  1. Next to the maiden’s
    Sleeping place
    I left
    The sabre, the sword —
    Alas, that sword.

Thank you, Shogun: Total War, for introducing me to Bushido poetry.

As for the War Robots - has anyone considered the possibility that the unit didn’t make a mistake? What if it had determined there was a traitor in its midst and was trying to eliminate a threat? Why are we so quick to condemn killer robots? They’re not all evil.

  2. That animation is very good. I would be happy if more games did multi-media backstory like this. How good was Bloemkamp’s Halo miniseries? How cool would a BG&E or GTA3 animation be?

    also, +1 Iron Giant reference.
